1. The following are charges and fees imposed on services since 1st April 2018
  • Replacement of Medical Card             RM 10.00
  • Annual Premium Statements               RM 10.00 per statement
  • Reprinting of Policy Document            RM 30.00 (printed copy)
The payment has to be made to MCIS Insurance Berhad and the receipt attached along with the service request.

2. Effective 1 June 2018, the applicable GST rate as announced by the Government of Malaysia, is reduced from six percent (6%) to zero percent (0%).

3. Implementation of Sales and Service Tax (“SST”)
Please be informed that Service Tax is implemented by the Government of Malaysia with effect from 1 September 2018 at the rate of six percent (6%). Service tax is not applicable to individual life insurance policies. However, service tax is applicable on provision of insurance policies to business organisations. For further information, please speak to your agent or call our Customer Contact Centre at 03-7652 3388.

Step 1 - Contact your agent or Cusomer Service (customerservice@mcis.my) or advice. 
Step 2 - Complete all required form(s), i.e. Surrender Application Form and E-payment Form together with supporting documents (if applicable)
Step 3 - Ensure your signature is executed in the same manner as per Proposal Form or the latest recorded signature OR you may walk in to nearest branch office for Mykard verification to update your signature.
Step 4 - Submit the surrender document(s) to your agent or the nearest branch office.
Step 5 - You will receive notification once the surrender payment (if any) is credited into your nominated bank account.

What are the requirements?
  • Partial Withdrawal/full withdrawal/fund switching is only applicable to Investment Linked Policy with In-Force status.
  • Full Withdrawal is only applicable to Investment Linked Policy, there will be no value payable if the fund value is zero or exhausted. Policy shall be terminated and all benefits and rights under the policy to the policy owner shall be ceased.
  • Minimum fund balance after partial withdrawal should not be less than RM 1,000 or RM2,000 (depends on the policy plan) and the minimum partial withdrawal amount is RM 100 or RM 200 (depends on the policy plan).
  • Policy owner must have attained the age of 18.
  • Processing fee on partial/full withdrawal is applicable to selected products and it will be deducted from the amount payable.
  • Switching charge after the allowed number of free switching would be 1% of the investment value or maximum RM 50.00, whichever is lower.

What are the requirements?
 
  • Policy loan is only applicable to Traditional Life Policy with at least 3 years policy premium paid and policy acquired a Cash Surrender Value.
  • Maximum policy loan can be granted up to 95% of the Cash Surrender Value subject to any indebtedness. The minimum net policy loan is RM 100.00.
  • Policy owner must have attained the age of 18.
  • Stamp Duty of RM 5.00 will be deducted for every loan amount of RM 1,000.00.
    E.g.: (i) Loan applied RM 500.00, net loan payable will be RM 495.00
    (ii) Loan applied RM 1,010.00, net loan payable will be RM 1,000.00
  • An interest rate of 8% is chargeable per annum, the interest amount will be computed on daily basis

You are required to furnish us with your banking account details to enable the swift and secure crediting of all policy related benefits to you, e.g. cash dividends, cash payments, survival benefits, maturity, claims pay out, excess payment, etc.

1. Login to our myMCISLIFE customer portal via www.mcis.my to update your e-payment details under the Service Request tab; or
2. Complete the e-Payment Form and email it to customerservice@mcis.my

All unpresented cheques or returned payments are subject to the Unclaimed Moneys Act 1965. The same also applies under circumstances where payments are due to you but we are unable to contact you for banking details to facilitate an e-payment instruction.

MCIS Life does not work with any 3rd party companies to facilitate the recovery of Unclaimed Money. Your only safe and reliable means of recovering money that has been transferred to the Registrar Of Unclaimed Moneys is by visiting https://www.anm.gov.my for more information on the Unclaimed Moneys Act 1965 and proceed to https://egumis.anm.gov.my to initiate the process of getting a refund.
